About us
Abortion Support South Africa is a non-profit founded in 2016. We are a team of activists, researchers and healthcare providers working to increase access to abortion in South Africa and beyond.
We provide accurate and compassionate abortion information and online referrals for women needing abortion pills. We offer safe and affordable abortion options centred on the rights and preferences of women and pregnant people.
Abortion Support South Africa works with partners to advocate for abortion care that reaches the people who need it and conducts research on abortion access and innovative models of abortion care.
Our work is funded by the Safe Abortion Action Fund. We partner with Women on Web International Foundation to bring this service to South African women.
Our mission is to improve access to safe and compassionate digital abortion information and care.
